WHAT WE DO
The Women’s Collaborative Mentoring Program (WCMP) offered at The Valley Economic Alliance (TVEA) is a premier result driven accelerator grant for Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The grant is open to women that make less than 150k in revenue annually. The Women’s Collaborative Mentoring Program (WCMP) is designed to guide women business owners, through a customized four-part curriculum including Business Essentials, Marketing Strategy, Confidence Builder and Personal Development.
The grant opportunity is offered at our partnering Business Development locations local, BDC, EDC resources and networking groups to support a premier training program.
The training plan consists of 120 hours, over 4 to 6 months, connects entrepreneurs with over twenty mentors and ten business development centers. Applicants are selected through an interview process.
The WCMP’s fills this gap, built on the four tenets
1. Customized and sequenced based on her needs
2. For applicants who are not selected, receive industry specific training, through our alliance partners, Business Development Centers and Women Business Programs.
PAY IT FORWARD
3. Pay it Forward: we prepare participants to pay it forward to other EDWOSBs 36 months after graduating.
4. Economic Impact Study: we track participants progress while in the program and for 5 years after graduating to fully understand the economic impact to our community.
